OUR HISTORY
Peoples Bank was founded in 1908 in Mendenhall, Mississippi. From the very beginning our focus has been on servicing our community and treating others the way we would like be treated. As we have grown over the years, both in size and reach, our focus has not waivered. Whether our customer is next door, or five states over, our goal is the same; unparalleled service and competency.
OUR EXPERIENCE
We’ve been making SBA loans successfully for 30 years. Over that time, we have helped hundreds of businesses begin and grow. Seeing small businesses succeed is our passion. Our efforts have not gone unnoticed. In 2011, Peoples Bank was named the National SBA Small Lender of the Year, despite being a fraction of the size of the other bank’s considered.
PREFERRED LENDER STATUS
Peoples Bank is a Preferred SBA lender. What that means is that for loans less than $350,000 we have the authority, delegated by SBA, to approve or deny your request without having to go through the SBA submission process. While this does not decrease the amount of necessary documentation, it does greatly reduce the time between application and closing.
